Meteorite Snowflake Earrings

These fun earrings are made from 4 billion year old meteorite from space. This particular meteorite fell in the south western part of Africa in Namibia in prehistory. It was rediscovered in the 1800's. The crystalline pattern is caused by the meteorite cooling so slowly while in space. The slow crystalline growth is the same mechanism that gives snowflakes they characteristic hex patterns. Festive, yet a bit nerdy and cool! They have hypoallergenic titanium loops and make a great gift.

Please note: Due to the increased area of earrings, it may be possible to have one or two small dark spots in the meteorite.  These are known as regmaglypts and are usually around 1 to 2mm in diameter.  This is simply rocky bits from the outer mantle of the meteor that get mixed with the iron core.  Just like the Earth has a rocky mantle and an iron core and was formed from meteorites, it's all perfectly natural.
